In 2368, he held the rank of commander while he served aboard the USS Enterprise-D. In the week of stardate 45852.1, on Monday, he had an appointment for an annual career counseling session with Counselor Deanna Troi at 10:30. This information was displayed on a personal appointment log in Troi's quarters. (TNG: "Imaginary Friend", "The Next Phase", okudagram)

A short time later, Braga was promoted to captain, and was reassigned to Starfleet Academy as a flight instructor for Falcon Squadron, Third Academy Training Wing. His name, rank, and title were on a Flight Proficiency Award for Harry Kim. (VOY: "Non Sequitur", set artwork)

In the 2370s, he was listed as a Starfleet Command officer on the dedication plaque of several Federation starships, including the USS Voyager (2371), the USS Enterprise-E (2372), and the USS Prometheus (2373).
