Korax and Montgomery Scott in a brawl

"I wanna know who threw the first punch!"

A brawl, sometimes called a street brawl, bar fight, or fight, was when two or more people engaged in a violent struggle with each other.

Such a fight often involved the use of hands and feet for punching and kicking, as well as many other tactics. It was generally considered a form disorderly conduct.

In 2255 in the alternate reality, James T. Kirk got into a bar fight with some Starfleet cadets at the Shipyard Bar in Riverside, Iowa. (Star Trek)

In 2268, some members of the crews of the USS Enterprise and the IKS Gr'oth were involved in a barroom brawl on Deep Space Station K-7. The fight was started when Montgomery Scott struck Korax after he had insulted Scott's ship. (TOS: "The Trouble with Tribbles")

In 2327, Ensign Jean-Luc Picard got stabbed in the heart during a bar brawl with a Nausicaan at Starbase Earhart. (TNG: "Tapestry")

In 2373, when the USS Defiant time traveled back to the 23rd century on space station K-7, Odo, Bashir, Worf, and O'Brien all got involved with the brawl started by Scott when he punched Korax in the face. (DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations")

In 2376, Tom Paris, Harry Kim, and five other crew members of the USS Voyager got into a street brawl at the Markonian outpost. (VOY: "Survival Instinct")

That same year in Voyager's Fair Haven holodeck program, an intoxicated Michael Sullivan started a bar brawl about Kathryn Janeway with Tom Paris, Harry Kim, and a few other holographic characters that ended up in the street, where the fight continued. (VOY: "Fair Haven")
