Brian Edward Avery (born 19 October 1973; age 50) is a stuntman, stunt actor, and stunt coordinator who performed stunts in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Enterprise, as well as in three Star Trek films. Avery is the son of Rick and Joni Avery and is the brother of Mike Avery. All of them appeared in other Star Trek productions as well.

One of his stunt scenes in Star Trek: Insurrection was cut from the final aired film, a thirty foot high fall from a cliff as a Tarlac officer, but included in the DVD special feature "Anatomy of a Stunt". Two of his costumes from Enterprise were later sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1] [2]

More recently, Avery worked as stunt double for Simon Pegg on Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek Beyond.

Most recent stunt work includes episodes of Westworld (2016, with Josh Clark, Clifton Collins, Jr., Joey Anaya, John Dixon, and Terry Jackson, stunt coordination by Mike Watson, and executive produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk), Angie Tribeca (2016), Rizzoli & Isles (2016, with Chase Kim and Jahnel Curfman), and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (2016, with Lou Simon and Bob McGovern, and stunt coordination by Gregory J. Barnett), the comic adaptation Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016, with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Nicole Forester), and the mystery thriller The Great Wall (2016, with fellow MoCap unit stunt performers Thom Williams and Simon Rhee). He doubled Owen Wilson in the comedy Bastards (2016) and Brent Spiner in the science fiction sequel Independence Day: Resurgance (2016, stunt coordinated by John Stoneham, Jr.) and worked as stunt coordinator on the television comedy Problem Child (2016).
