A bridge was a structure that was built over a body of water or a low area to allow passage over it.

The launch bay aboard NX-class starships featured a type of bridge placed over the shuttlepods. (ENT: "Broken Bow", "The Catwalk")

The Klingon capital city on Qo'noS could be reached by using rope bridges in the 2150s. (ENT: "Broken Bow", "The Expanse")

In 2153, a makeshift bridge was made using a long but narrow support beam, in order for an away team from Enterprise NX-01 to cross a deep chasm aboard the D'kyr-type starship Seleya, shortly before it exploded. (ENT: "Impulse")
