Mirror universe
(coexisting on another dimensional plane)

For the prime universe counterpart, please see Brunt.

Brunt was a male Ferengi mercenary and engineer in the 24th century. He was a close friend and partner with Ezri Tigan, and they worked for both the Terran Rebellion and the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance, even though Brunt's sympathy was with the Rebellion.

Brunt came to love his partner Ezri, though he found out she preferred women. He would keep their friendship anyway and was very loyal to her, calling her the closest friend he's had.

In 2375, Brunt and Tigan were tasked with ensuring the delivery of a stolen cloaking device from the primary universe to the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. They left aboard Brunt's shuttle for Terok Nor where Tigan was to find Quark and deliver Zek's message to obtain the device. Brunt learned Tigan was successful, but captured by the rebels, so he broke into the cargo bay to get the device back and fought his way into the security office to rescue her, Quark and Rom.

Brunt and Tigan boarded the Regent's flagship with the group and the cloaking device. When Regent Worf did not honor the deal he had made with Quark and Rom, Brunt silently took issue with this. He protested to Tigan later, asking her to talk to Intendant Kira Nerys about it. Kira walked in on them, and allowed Brunt to speak his mind, however, she quickly killed him, suspecting him of betrayal.

His death would soon prompt Tigan to turn on Kira. (DS9: "The Emperor's New Cloak")

Like his prime counterpart, he was played by Star Trek veteran Jeffrey Combs.
