The Cancri were a species from the planet Cancri IV. They had large heads with pale skin. They were led by elders.
In 2256, the Cancri were politically neutral between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire. Thus, they agreed to host a secret meeting between Vulcan and two independent Klingon Great Houses to discuss the possibility of an alliance. However, the meeting was a trap set by General Kol, and the Klingon party slaughtered the Cancri elders present. (DIS: "Lethe")
