Canopus Planet was an inhabited planet in the Canopus planetary system. This planet was located in the Alpha Quadrant.

In 1996, the poet Tarbolde wrote the famous love sonnet "Nightingale Woman" on this planet. (TOS: "Where No Man Has Gone Before"; Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, production art)

This chart was also seen in several Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes set in the 24th century, from the year 2364 to 2370.
