I propose to rename this to Category:Shapeshifters since Martia is the only article under Chameloid. Shapeshifter is a more generic category and would include the Founders, Q, that girl from TNG: "The Dauphin", among others. Starfleetjedi 23:55, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
- It's been our practice to give each species its own category. Chameloid is Martia's species, so that gets a category. It may be valid to create the category you describe, but it should not replace this one.--31dot 00:00, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed. This is a species specific category. Just like Category:Changelings and Category:Q Continuum and Category:Allasomorphs, which contain all the others you mention. --Alan 00:03, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- Would there be consensus to create an umbrella Category:Shapeshifters with the above species-specific subcategories? Starfleetjedi 00:05, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- In addition, why do we have a category for something with only one known member? --OuroborosCobra talk 00:07, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

- Old news, but it was to thin out Category:Individuals, that is, if a person had a species name that name became a category, no limit on quantity. --Alan 00:09, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
