Creation[]
Category:Dominion personnel was created without discussion on Memory Alpha:Category suggestions first. -LauraCC (talk) 02:53, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- In these cases, I should the best thing to do would be to inform the user on their talk page, then start the discussion for them on CS and leave the category up until the discussion is over, unless it's something we definitely don't want, like obvious vandalism, etc. That way, if it turns out that we do indeed want the category, we don't need to go through the bother of deleting the category and removing it from all the pages in it just to re-add it later. Then, if the discussion leads to consensus not to have the category, we can delete it at that point. 🖖 Mr. Starfleet Command (talk • contribs) 15:06, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
I've done both. It does seem like a useful category, though - not something unnecessary like "2259 deaths" or frivolous/debatable like "Hated characters". -LauraCC (talk) 15:33, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

I'm a little surprised that we didn't already have this category; there seem to be a great many people who would fall under it, from multiple species (and some members of these species aren't officially working for the Dominion, so the overlap isn't complete.) -LauraCC (talk) 15:31, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
