Cathy Sandrich Gelfond, CSA (born 22 June 1961; age 62), is a Hollywood casting director who, along with casting partner Amanda Mackey Johnson, was responsible for the casting of Star Trek Nemesis. Since the early 2000s, Johnson and Gelfond have been working with Wendy Weidman, who began as a casting associate and is now a casting director in her own right.

Gelfond and Johnson are among the busiest casting directors in show business, with over 100 films and television productions to their credit. They first paired for the 1991 comedy Mystery Date, whose cast included one-time Star Trek: Voyager guest star Brian McNamara. The duo have earned Artios nominations from the Casting Society of America (CSA) for their work on the films While You Were Sleeping, The Opposite of Sex, For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story (directed by Joseph Sargent and featuring Fionnula Flanagan), Holes, The Cooler (starring Paul Sorvino), P.S., The Good Shepherd, and Smokin' Aces. Among the actors they worked with in the latter film was Chris Pine.

Other films cast by Gelfond and Johnson include Patriot Games, Of Mice and Men, Sliver, The Fugitive, Species, George of the Jungle, Ronin, The Man in the Iron Mask, Frequency, We Were Soldiers, The Matador, United 93, The Kingdom and August Rush. They also cast the short-lived HBO series Unscripted, for which they received their seventh Artios nomination. Frank Langella was among the actors they worked with on this series.

In addition, Gelfond and Johnson worked with Nemesis director Stuart Baird on his films Executive Decision (for which they cast Andreas Katsulas as the main protagonist) and U.S. Marshals. In addition, Gelfond and Johnson worked with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's René Auberjonois and Star Trek: The Original Series' Nichelle Nichols on 1999's Inspector Gadget and 2002's Snow Dogs, respectively. They more reunited with Nemesis star Patrick Stewart for the 2005 film The Game of Their Lives.

Gelfond and Johnson later worked on such films as White Noise (reteaming with Smokin' Aces director Joe Carnahan) and Imperial Life in the Emerald City (again working with United 93 director Paul Greengrass).
