The Central Plains Area was a region in the southern hemisphere of the planet Qo'noS.

In 2257, the region was labeled on a holographic globe of Qo'noS used for planning a mission to the planet by the USS Discovery. (DIS: "The War Without, The War Within")

By 2366, the women of this region had used lucovexitrin as a dietary medication until the KDA made a determination that the substance was too toxic and banned the use of it. (TNG: "Hollow Pursuits")

This region was mentioned in an okudagram, which listed and described five substances that had the potential to cause disruptions in the systems aboard a Federation starship.
