The Cerritos captain's yacht was a Type 6A captain's yacht assigned to the USS Cerritos during the 2380s.
The keys to the yacht
In 2380, Ensign Beckett Mariner signed out the keys to the captain's yacht. When she invited Ensign Brad Boimler to join her there, he explained that she shouldn't have those, but she assured him that "it [was] cool" because she signed them out under his name. (LD: "Terminal Provocations") Later that year, Lieutenant Steve Levy provided design recommendations for the captain's yacht to Mariner to pass along to her mother. (LD: "No Small Parts")
In 2381, Captain Freeman intended to take her yacht to Lapeeria when the Cerritos was unable to reach the planet. Ensigns Sam Rutherford and D'Vana Tendi, who had sneaked aboard prior to this, hid in the back, but revealed themselves when Rutherford suggested that the Cerritos could be used instead, as long as its deck plating was removed. Later that year, Rutherford's cybernetic implant malfunctioned and caused his pre-implant personality to take over his body. The younger Rutherford attempted to steal the Cerritos captain's yacht and escape, but was stunned by Lieutenant Shaxs. (LD: "Reflections")
Later that year, Captain Freeman used the captain's yacht to rescue Mariner from Nova One, heading into an ion storm Mariner had navigated the USS Passaro into to prevent a Ferengi-designed Genesis Device she had seized from Nick Locarno from falling back into Locarno's hands. Mariner was beamed aboard before she could be murdered by Locarno, and, with Locarno having raised shields to refuse rescue and Mariner having set off the Genesis Device to remove it as a threat, the yacht fled the ion storm before the Genesis Device detonated.
