Chapman/Leonard Studio Equipment, Inc., or simply Chapman, is a company that leases cranes, dollies and other camera support equipment for film and television use. They have serviced thousands of productions over the past six decades, including at least four Star Trek films: Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek Nemesis, Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Chapman/Leonard Studio Equipment, Inc. began as Chapman Studio Equipment, founded by Ralph Chapman in 1945. Twenty years later, Chapman teamed up with Leonard Studio Equipment, which belonged to his son, Leonard Chapman. Since its inception, Chapman/Leonard Studio Equipment, Inc. has made many innovations in camera support technology and has won numerous awards, including three Scientific and Engineering Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the same organization responsible for the Academy Awards).
