Charles S. Chun (born 28 February 1967; age 57) is the actor who played an Engineer in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fifth season episode "Trials and Tribble-ations". It was his first guest-starring role on television. Chun also lent his voice to the video game Star Trek: Armada II and Star Trek: Bridge Commander, credited as Charles Chun.
Chun is probably now best known for his recurring role as Doctor Wen in the hit comedy series Scrubs. Star Trek: The Next Generation guest star Ken Jenkins plays Doctor Bob Kelso in the series. Chun's first acting roles came in 1994. He played a technician in Beverly Hills Cop III and a Korean Olympian in Pentathlon. Daniel Riordan and Barry Lynch also starred. Also in 1994, Chun starred in Dumb and Dumber. Mike Starr and Charles Rocket also starred in the movie. Chun starred with Deep Space Nine star Wallace Shawn and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock star Christopher Lloyd in My Favorite Martian. Chun has also appeared in Next (2007, with Jim Beaver and Bonita Friedericy) and The Interview (2014).
Chun has also made guest appearances in NYPD Blue, Charmed, ER, Becker, Everybody Loves Raymond, 24, Boston Legal, and Criminal Minds.
