As a professional stuntman and stunt double, Brewer has worked on such television series as Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, Beauty and the Beast, Rescue 911, Tales from the Crypt, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Babylon 5, JAG, Roswell, Firefly, 24, and My Name Is Earl.
He has also performed stunts on numerous films, including Another 48 Hrs., Grand Canyon, Oscar, Of Mice and Men, Stargate, Air Force One, Titanic, The Truman Show, Nurse Betty, Panic Room, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Bruce Almighty, and The Day After Tomorrow.
He worked as a second unit director on the series Monk, for which he also performed stunts between 2004 and 2009. As a stunt actor, he was seen in the 1996 action thriller Broken Arrow, a film which also featured the likes of Casey Biggs, Raymond Cruz, Vince Deadrick, Bob Gunton, James MacDonald, and Kurtwood Smith.
More recently, Brewer doubled actor Jeff Goldblum on the science fiction sequel Independence Day: Resurgence (2016, with Brent Spiner and stunt coordination by John Stoneham, Jr.) and Jonathan Frakes in the Angie Tribeca episode "The Coast Is Fear" (2016, with Baron Jay and Hugh Aodh O'Brien), performed stunts in the fantasy sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016, stunt coordination by Spiro Razatos), the reboot CHIPS (2017, stunt coordination by Steve DeCastro), the action sequel The Fate of the Furious (2017), and in episodes of American Horror Story (2016, with Angela Bassett, Colby French, Larry Cedar, Marti Matulis, and Chris Palermo), Lethal Weapon (2016, with Kevin Rahm, Tony Plana, Dennis Keiffer, and stunt coordination by Tim Trella), Blunt Talk (2016, with Patrick Stewart and Tim Storms), and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013-2016), and worked as stunt coordinator on the television series Colony (2017) and S.W.A.T. (2017-2018, starring Jay Harrington).
