In 2371, Doctor Julian Bashir wished to perform tests to determine the exact chemical formula of an isogenic enzyme (Ketracel-white) which a Jem'Hadar youth was suffering withdrawal from. While initially reluctant to have Bashir perform the tests, Odo was able to persuade the boy to allow it. (DS9: "The Abandoned")
