A number of books featuring children's stories

A children's story was a story suitable for young children, such as fables and fairy tales. Many times, children's stories were published in children's books, readers or storybooks. First contact with alien species was one popular subject of children's and science fiction tales. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")

In 2000, there was a section at Alexandria Books that had a number of children's books for sell. (VOY: "11:59")

In 2371, Julian Bashir told Garak the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf, referring to it as a children's story. After hearing the gruesome ending, Garak questioned whether the story might be too graphic for children. (DS9: "Improbable Cause")
