Chris Cooper (born 9 April 1963; age 61) is a comic book author. He wrote the entire Star Trek: Starfleet Academy comic book title for Marvel Comics during his six years with the company. He also edited several titles while there, including Alpha Flight and Blade.
While working for Marvel, he created the company's first lesbian lead character, "Victoria Montesi" in Darkhold: Pages From the Book of Sins. He also was responsible for an openly gay Human in issue #17, "Culture Clash", of the Starfleet Academy title – "Yoshi Mishima (β)", which earned him a GLAAD Media Award nomination in 1999. He is currently working on Queer Nation: The Online Gay Comic.
