Real world article
(written from a Production point of view)

Christopher Neame (born 12 September 1947; age 76) is a British actor who portrayed Unferth in the Star Trek: Voyager first season episode "Heroes and Demons". Later, he portrayed the German General in the Star Trek: Enterprise fourth season episodes "Storm Front" and "Storm Front, Part II".

Career

Neame is one of the very small number of actors to have appeared in both the Star Trek and Doctor Who franchises. In Neame's case his Doctor Who appearance was never shown on television although it was released on VHS; he played the villain Skagra in the serial Shada, which was partially filmed during Doctor Who's 1979-1980 season but abandoned due to a BBC strike; it was later reconstructed through narration by Tom Baker (who played the Doctor in Shada) for home video release in 1992 and restored with animation and recordings by the original cast (including Neame) in 2017.

Like Guy Siner, W. Morgan Sheppard and Robin Sachs, Neame has achieved the trifecta of roles in Star Trek, Doctor Who and Babylon 5. In 1994, Neame appeared in the Babylon 5 episode "And the Sky Full of Stars", as Knight Two, alongside Judson Scott. (His role had originally been offered to Walter Koenig who was unable to accept for health reasons. Koenig would end up play the semi-regular role of Alfred Bester on the series). [1] Neame also appeared as Colonel Quute in the Blake's 7 episode "Traitor".

In the 1970s, he starred in two BBC World War II television series. He played Royal Navy Lieutenant Dick Player in the prisoner of war drama Colditz from 1972 to 1974 and RAF Flight Lieutenant John Curtis in the Belgian Resistance drama Secret Army in 1977. Jeremy Kemp, Jim Norton, Michael Ensign and Ed Bishop also appeared in the former while Siner also appeared in the latter.

For ITV, he played Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany in the 1975 miniseries Edward the Seventh (with Carolyn Seymour). Also for the BBC, he played Mark Antony in the 1983 miniseries The Cleopatras (with fellow Voyager guest star Peter Dennis). In 1989, he played Gustav Hellstrom in the twelfth season of Dallas (with Beth Toussaint, Joshua Harris and Robert O'Reilly).

Neame portrayed the Dark Lord Jerec in the cut scenes for the video game Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, where he co-starred with Bennet Guillory, Valerie Wildman and Time Winters.
