The cilium-like vegetation assuming the form of Hologram Janeway
Cilium-like vegetation was a type of vegetative superorganism that inhabited the Hirogen star system's Murder Planet. It had the psychokinetic ability to fabricate the desires of its intended prey onto its cilium.
In 2383, the crew of the USS Protostar first encountered this vegetation on a dangerous M class planet known as Murder Planet. They possessed telepathy and a form of collective sentience. They operated in a similar manner to a telepathic pitcher plant to attract their prey, taking the form of a Tellarite hut, The Diviner, Kathryn Janeway, a giant watcher, and even the Protostar itself as they used psychic manipulation to trick visiting lifeforms to remain on the planet's surface while they were willingly consumed. Eventually, they made direct contact with Dal R'El by sending a "representative" in the form of Hologram Janeway to convince Dal to stay. (PRO: "Dream Catcher")
The superorganism was also capable of terraforming the surrounding terrain to move mountains in order to confuse their victims' sense of direction, and could generate acid rain in an attempt to digest their prey while they remained on the surface of the planet. (PRO: "Terror Firma")
