An Earth city
A city was a settlement larger than a town, with continuous residential and commercial development. It usually was a center of habitation manufacturing, trade, and finance.
In late 2375, the Dominion began destroying cities on Cardassia Prime. They did this in retribution of the Cardassians joining with the forces of the Federation Alliance at the Battle of Cardassia. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")
