The Cochrane, named after the famous Zefram Cochrane, inventor of warp drive, was a Federation Type 15 shuttlepod that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-24th century, attached to the USS Enterprise-D. It was shuttlepod 14.
Early in 2366, the Cochrane was listed on the shuttlebay operations display as being available for use in the main bay. (TNG: "Evolution", okudagram)
