The Coleonyx brevis was an amphibian native to Earth.
When Spock tried to match the sound of the Whale Probe to the sound of an Earth animal aboard the Klingon Bird-of-Prey HMS Bounty, a Coleonyx brevis was one of the animals shown. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)
The Coleonyx brevis is actually a Texas banded gecko, although the images shown on the HMS Bounty's display look considerably different than a lizard.
