For Star Trek comic books, please see Comics.

A comic book was a publication combining a story with illustration. One type of comic book was a holocomic book. (VOY: "Cathexis")

When Malcolm Reed and Trip Tucker were waiting for rescue in their disabled shuttlepod in 2151, Reed derisively told Tucker that North Americans must read nothing but comic books. Tucker replied that Superman was layered with subtext on top of subtext. (ENT: "Shuttlepod One")

Star Trek has been adapted into many comic books over the years, from many different publishers, including DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Malibu Comics, and IDW Publishing.
