Company 3, or CO3 for short, is a post-production company that is performing digital intermediate for 2009's Star Trek. [1] The president of Company 3 is Stefan Sonnenfeld, who was also the studio's Digital Intermediate Colorist on Star Trek. [2]

The company worked on the first three episodes of Star Trek: Discovery doing color timing as well as the "Children of Mars" of Star Trek: Short Treks providing post services.

In addition to Star Trek, Company 3 has performed the digital intermediate process on two other films photographed by Dan Mindel: Domino (2005) and Paramount Pictures' Mission: Impossible III (2006, directed by Star Trek's J.J. Abrams and co-written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci).

Company 3 has also worked with J.J. Abrams on Paramount's Cloverfield (2008), which Abrams produced. In addition, the company has worked on two additional films written by Kurtzman and Orci: The Island (2005, featuring Ethan Phillips) and Transformers (2007), both of which were directed by Michael Bay. Company 3 also worked on Eagle Eye, which Kurtzman and Orci executive produced.

The many other films for which Company 3 has produced digital intermediate include: The Amityville Horror (starring Jimmy Bennett and Rachel Nichols), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006, starring Patrick Stewart, Kelsey Grammer, Famke Janssen and Rebecca Romijn, with Shohreh Aghdashloo, Chelah Horsdal, Aaron Stanford, Julian Christopher and John Pyper-Ferguson). Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006), Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007), both featuring Lee Arenberg) 300 (2006, featuring Stephen McHattie), Live Free or Die Hard (featuring Tim Russ), National Treasure: Book of Secrets (featuring Bruce Greenwood), and two football films starring The Rock: Gridiron Gang (2006) and The Game Plan (2007). Their credits also include such hits as Collateral, Dreamgirls, Rush Hour 3, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Quantum of Solace (2008).

Other Company 3 films include Valkyrie (2008, directed by Bryan Singer), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009, starring Rachel Nichols), Friday the 13th (2009, featuring Nana Visitor), Watchmen (2009, featuring Matt Frewer and Stephen McHattie), and Public Enemies (2009).
