Concetta Tomei (born 30 December 1945; age 78) is an American actress who played Odala in the Star Trek: Voyager third season episode "Distant Origin".

Career[]

A seasoned theatre, film and television character actress, Tomei was at the time best known for her role as Major Lila Garreau on the ABC-TV series China Beach (1988–1991; with Robert Picardo, James Cromwell, Jeff Kober, and Megan Gallagher), and later as Lynda Hansen on the NBC TV series Providence (1999–2002).

In 1987, she appeared in Max Headroom, along with Matt Frewer, Rosalind Chao, George Coe, Andreas Katsulas, W. Morgan Sheppard, and Charles Rocket.

From 1997-2011, Tomei played guest roles on TV shows, such as 7th Heaven, Touched by an Angel, Second Time Around, The King of Queens, Weeds, Numbers, Kitchen Confidential, The Closer, Cold Case, Ghost Whisperer, Nip/Tuck, Rubicon, and Necessary Roughness.

In 2017, she appeared in an episode of The Mick titled "The Grandparents", as Tippy Pemberton, the twisted, abusive grandmother of Sabrina, Chip and Ben.
