Confederate States military ranks

The rank system of the Confederate Army provided a hierarchy and chain of command for individuals serving the branches of the Confederate States of America's military. Commissioned and non-commissioned officers displayed their rank insignia on the lapels and sleeves of their uniform, and in many cases, on the front of their caps. During the Q Civil War, which was made to be perceived as the American Civil War, Q who opposed Q's "Freedom Faction" dressed as Confederate Army infantry soldiers, complete with uniform and insignia. (VOY: "The Q and the Grey")
