Conrad Coates (born 12 July 1970; age 54) is a British-Canadian actor who portrays Admiral Terral on Star Trek: Discovery.
The Toronto-based actor has appeared in over 100 television episodes and more than 40 stage productions.
Coates' first television appearance was in a 1989 episode of War of the Worlds (alongside Star Trek: Voyager guest star Richard Chaves). In 1995, Coates appeared in William Shatner's TekWar. He played the recurring character Mr. Munk in The Zack Files from 2001 to 2002. Coates then had a recurring role in Degrassi: The Next Generation as the father of regular character Jimmy Brooks (played by a young Aubrey Graham) from 2004 to 2008. Coates also appeared in a 2010 episode of Fringe (created by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci). Coates appeared as General Field in the 2016 film X-Men: Apocalypse.
A veteran of the stage, Coates spent two seasons at the Stratford Shakespearean Festival performing in Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew and As You Like It.
