Craig Benton (born 3 April 1964; age 60) is the actor who portrayed Davis in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "Violations". He filmed his scenes on Thursday 31 October 1991 on Paramount Stage 9.
Benton has made appearances on Wings (starring Steven Weber), Knots Landing, Step by Step, Married... with Children, Bodies of Evidence (with Jennifer Hetrick, Deborah May, and Robert Pine), and Herman's Head (starring Molly Hagan). He was also seen in the 1993 TV adaptation of Journey to the Center of the Earth which starred F. Murray Abraham, Jeffrey Nordling, Carel Struycken, and Star Trek: Voyager's Tim Russ. He had a small role as a paint shop owner in Kuffs (1992, with Ashley Judd, Christian Slater and Leon Rippy). That same year Benton was seen in The Lawnmower Man (starring Pierce Brosnan).
In 2000, he starred in More than Puppy Love, and in 2003, he and Tony Todd had supporting roles in Silence. Benton completed filming on the drama Raising Jeffrey Dahmer in 2006. In 2008 he had a featured part in the fantasy drama Suspension.
