Cypripedium was a group of orchid plants native to Earth.
In 2372, Chakotay discovered what appeared to be a specimen of cypripedium, a rare variety of the Asiatic genus Paphiopedilum, on a planet in the Delta Quadrant populated by the Sky Spirits. (VOY: "Tattoo")
