DSC 08 was the registry number of a 23rd century Federation Class C shuttlecraft attached to the USS Discovery.
In 2257, Commander Michael Burnham and Lieutenant Spock took DSC 08 to the Section 31 ship NI-1101, so they could investigate the status of the ship. It had failed to report in as scheduled.
It was later returned to the Discovery upon Burnham and Spock's return from their mission to the NI-1101. (DIS: "Through the Valley of Shadows")
