DSC 12 was the registry number of a 23rd century Federation Class C shuttlecraft attached to the USS Discovery.
In 2257, Queen Me Hani Ika Hali Ka Po commandeered DSC 12 during the Battle near Xahea, claiming diplomatic immunity from the theft. Piloting DSC 12, Po used the shuttle to lead the charge to assist Michael Burnham in clearing the combat zone to transport the Sphere data to the distant future. (DIS: "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2")
At one point, Number One's panel mistakenly identifies DSC 12 as SPT 21.
