Daniel Jun is an actor who played Lai in the Star Trek: Discovery third season episode "Scavengers".
Jun was born in Taiwan to Korean parents, and was raised in China, New Zealand, South Korea, and Canada. He served as a Sergeant in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, and has earned a degree in Psychology and Economics at McGill University. He also worked as a dancer with the Montréal-based circus company Cirque du Soleil and contemporary dance group Tangente Danse. He has completed the 2018/2019 CBC Actors Conservatory at the Canadian Film Centre.
He appeared in smaller guest roles in series such as Designated Survivor(with Zoe McLellan, Jake Epstein, Vanessa Burns, Byron Abalos, and Freda Foh Shen), The Handmaid's Tale, and American Gods (developed by Bryan Fuller). He also appeared in season 6 of The Expanse, starring Shohreh Aghdashloo.
