Daniel Lavigne is a stunt actor and stunt performer who worked on Star Trek Beyond under stunt supervision of Michael Gunther. He played an Andorian henchman in the Star Trek: Discovery third season episode "That Hope Is You, Part 1", and also performed stunts in the Discovery episodes "Through the Valley of Shadows", "People of Earth", and "Red Directive", and the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds first and second season episodes "Strange New Worlds" and "The Broken Circle".
Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Lavigne studied acting at the New York Film Academy in New York and under Paul Weber in Los Angeles, California. He is a graduate of the Action Film Academy, located in New York, and holds a 4th degree black belt in karate.
In 2010, Lavigne worked as associate producer and actor on the crime thriller Evol, which was nominated for an Action on Film Award in the category Best Action Sequence – Feature the same year. The following years, Lavigne worked as an actor on the horror film The Day (2011, with stunts by Krista Bell), the short drama Devil's Candy (2011), the action film Agent Beetle (2012), and the action film Crook (2013).
He then worked as stunt performer on the short action comedy Wired (2013) and as stunt double on the television mini series Ascension (2014).
More recently, Lavigne performed stunts in the action drama Gutshot (2015) and in Bryan Singer's superhero sequel X-Men: Apocalypse (2016, executive produced and featuring Stan Lee).
