Danny Nero (born 22 June 1952; age 72) is an actor who played a Vulcan guard in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. As a background performer he received no credit for his appearance. Nero later worked for Central Casting where he cast extras for the fifth through seventh seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Nero mainly appeared as a background actor and stand-in on television series, including The Colbys (1986, with Stephanie Beacham, Tracy Scoggins, Joseph Campanella, Ricardo Montalban, Peter White, and Tim McCormack), Wings, ER (1994, starring Eriq La Salle, with Christine Harnos, Herta Ware, Scott Jaeck, Liz Vassey, Kristopher Logan, Michael Echols, Stuart Nixon, Leland Sun, and Ilona Wilson), Brimstone, Angel, Firefly, and Justice (2006). He also served as stand-in for Victor Garber on J.J. Abrams' Alias and on Justice. Nero also worked as recurring background actor and stand-in on Grey's Anatomy.

Among his on-screen appearances are films such as Airplane II: The Sequel (1982, with William Shatner, David Paymer and Sam Anderson), Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986, with stunts by Dana Dru Evenson, George Wilbur, and Beth Nufer), Beverly Hills Cop II (1987, with Ronnie Cox, Dean Stockwell, Paul Guilfoyle, Valerie Wildman, Stephen Liska, and John Hostetter), The Lost Boys (1987, with Todd Feder, Spice Williams, and Gene LeBell), the drama Love Affair (1994), and Serenity (2005, with Amy Wieczorek).

Among the projects he worked as a member of extras casting are the television series Wings and ER, Memoirs of an Invisible Man (1992, with Rosalind Chao), and Casper (1995).
