Dave Armstrong (16 October 192413 May 2016; age 91) was the actor who appeared in two Star Trek: The Original Series first season episodes, "A Taste of Armageddon" and "Operation -- Annihilate!", and in a Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode, "The Royale". For "Operation -- Annihilate!", he filmed his scene on Wednesday 15 February 1967 at the TRW Space and Defense Park in Redondo Beach, California.

Armstrong made an uncredited appearance in the 1954 film A Star Is Born, as guest star Richard Webb. He also appeared as a reporter in the 1977 film New York, New York which featured Dick Miller. His television appearances include guest spots and background roles on Mission: Impossible, The Invaders, The Twilight Zone, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Cheers (1982 and 1983), Murder, She Wrote (1984, with Kim Darby, John Schuck, and Eric Server), Dynasty (1984, with Joan Collins, Conroy Gedeon, John Burnside, Michael Zurich, Peter Paul Eastman, and Suzanne Lodge), Hill Street Blues (1985, with James B. Sikking, Marc Alaimo, Marco Rodriguez, Michael Chong, Marcelo Tubert, Elaine Nalee, Gene Cross, Conrad Hurtt, Dwayne McGee, and Ilona Wilson), The Colbys (1986, with Stephanie Beacham, Tracy Scoggins, Ricardo Montalban, Judson Scott, Peter White, Georgann Johnson, John Burnside, Faith Burton, Bob Davis, Ray Petersen, and Tim McCormack), and Falcon Crest (1982, 1984, and 1988, with Robert Foxworth, Roger Perry, Joanna Cassidy, John Hugh McKnight, Allan G.
