Dave Galanter (born 1 December 1969; age 54) is a Star Trek author. With writing partner Greg Brodeur, Galanter produced several novels, including the two books in the Maximum Warp series. Now writing solo, Galanter has penned several short stories and eBooks. His first solo novel, Troublesome Minds was released in 2009.

Galanter was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. He now lives in Maryland with his wife and their cats, as well as his brother and sister-in-law and their children. Dave co-owns the websites ComicBoards.com and TVShowBoards.com.

Galanter has also written an episode of the fan production Star Trek: New Voyages titled "Enemy: Starfleet" and has also updated the original Phase II Writer's/Director's guide for use with New Voyages/Phase II.
