Dave Simons (20 December 195410 June 2009; age 54) began working on the comics industry in the 1970s as an artist, working with both pencils and inks. He started his work mostly with Marvel Comics, working on titles such as Howard the Duck and Tomb of Dracula, and is well known for his work on Ghost Rider in the early 1980s. He also inked every issue of the Forgotten Realms comic for DC Comics.

In December 1981, he inked Marvel's Star Trek #18 "The Long Night's Dawn!" with Tom Palmer.

Simons died on 10 June 2009, after a long battle with cancer. [1]
