David Giroux Trotti (born 4 February 1967; age 57) is an assistant director who worked as DGA Trainee on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Star Trek: The Next Generation, as second assistant director on TNG and Star Trek: Voyager, and as first assistant director on Star Trek: Enterprise. Trotti has been married to actress and stand-in Amy Kate Connolly and is the son in law of hair stylist Laura Connolly. Together they appeared as civilian ceremony attendees in the Enterprise fourth season episode "These Are the Voyages...". Trotti previously appeared as a bystander in the Voyager fifth season episode "11:59", though not intentional.

He was also a Second Assistant Director for Evil Spirits (1990, starring Michael Berryman and Bert Remsen, the crime drama Roots of Evil (1992), and the action film Victor One (1994). Prior to this he worked as DGA Trainee on Doogie Howser, M.D. (1992). Trotti was also brought in to serve as Second Assistant Director for Robert Duncan McNeill's short film 9mm of Love in 2000, starring Ethan Phillips and Liz Vassey.

Further credits as first and second assistant director include Michael Dorn's television drama Through the Fire (2002, with Marina Sirtis), Just Legal (2005), Heist (2006, with Seymour Cassel), and Justice (2006-2007), the short comedy Falling (2007, with F.J. Rio, editor Todd Slayton, and makeup artist James MacKinnon), the comedy Women on Top (2007, with Jeffrey Byron, Kristen Ariza, and Merritt Yohnka), and Cold Case (2007-2008), Factory (2008), and Chuck (2008-2011).
