David Giroux Trotti is an assistant director who worked as DGA Trainee on Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Star Trek: The Next Generation, as second assistant director on TNG and Star Trek: Voyager, and as first assistant director on Star Trek: Enterprise. Trotti is married to actress and stand-in Amy Kate Connolly and is the son in law of hair stylist Laura Connolly. Together they appeared as civilian ceremony attendees in the final ENT episode "These Are the Voyages...".

He was also a Second Assistant Director for the 1990 horror movie Evil Spirits, starring Michael Berryman and Bert Remsen, the crime drama Roots of Evil (1992), and the action film Victor One (1994). Prior to this he worked as DGA Trainee on the television series Doogie Howser, M.D. (1992).
