David LaFountaine is the executive producer of the remastered version of Star Trek: The Original Series, which began in 2006. As part of the CBS Digital team, he appeared as a Federation administrator in the office window of the new matte painting in the remastered episode "The Menagerie, Part I".
The TOS Season 1 HD DVD from 2007 featured an interview with LaFountaine in a bonus special.
