David McCoy Barrett (born 25 April 1971; age 53) is a television director, writer, and producer who directed the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Divergence", and the Star Trek: Discovery episodes "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad" and "Saints of Imperfection".

Barrett's other directorial credits include episodes of Pacific Blue, Without a Trace, The O.C., Smallville, and UPN's Veronica Mars. He has been primarily involved with CBS' Cold Case, directing episodes of that show since 2004. In addition, Barrett co-created a series for the WB called The Mountain. He also served as a producer on E-Ring, for which he has written, as well. He has worked on films, as well, serving as second unit director for Stigmata (1999), Final Destination 2 (2003), and The Fog (2005), among others.

Barrett is the son of Star Trek: The Original Series performer Stan Barrett.
