Deneb II was the second planet of the Deneb system. This planet was aligned directly between Earth and Argelius II.
Sometime prior to 2266, Deneb II was the site of several murders of women committed by the Redjac entity, incarnated as "Kelsa". (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold")

This chart was first seen, chronologically, in 2293. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) This chart was also seen in several Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes set in the 24th century, from the year 2364 to 2370. These were: TNG: "Conspiracy", "The Measure Of A Man", "The Emissary", "The Mind's Eye", "The Game" and DS9: "In the Hands of the Prophets", "Cardassians".

Deneb II (Deneb Kaitos II) was located in the Deneb Kaitos system. This planet was colonized by Deneb V (Deneb Kaitos V) in the late 21st century. The planet was classified as Class M. In 2378, Deneb II was listed as a member planet of the Federation.
The Deneb Kaitos system was located in or near Federation space, in the Alpha Quadrant. This system, also known as Beta 16 Ceti, was a single star system. Primary was a Class G star with a magnitude of +1, which was a hundred times brighter than Sol. (Star Trek: Star Charts, pages 33, 44, & "United Federation of Planets I")
