Deneb II was the inhabited second planet orbiting the primary Deneb. Deneb II City was a settlement on this world.
Humans began moving to this planet after 2156. Between 2156 and 2266, Deneb II was the site of several murders of women committed by the Redjac entity, incarnated as "Kesla". (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold"; TNG-R: "Inheritance")
According to Star Trek: Star Charts (pp. 33 & 41) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), Deneb II (Deneb Kaitos II, Beta 16 Ceti II) was located in the Alpha Quadrant. This planet was colonized by Deneb V over three hundred years before 2378. The planet was classified as M-class. In 2378, Deneb II was a Federation member world.
According to The Worlds of the Federation, Deneb II was called Kreta by its natives.
