Richard "Dick" Durock (18 January 193717 September 2009; age 72), also known as Swampy Durock, was a stuntman and stunt actor who played the part of an Elasian guard in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "Elaan of Troyius". He filmed his scenes on Tuesday 4 June 1968 and Wednesday 5 June 1968 at Desilu Stage 9. He went on to play the titular role in numerous Swamp Thing productions.

His career began as a television stunt double in 1965, for Lost in Space, and in 1968 he began playing extra characters on Star Trek and other series, eventually by the 1970s playing characters with more substantial parts in series like Battlestar Galactica. In 1982 he played the lead in Swamp Thing, co-starring Ray Wise and Adrienne Barbeau.

Some of his other films include The Enforcer (1976, with Michael Cavanaugh and John Crawford), The Nude Bomb (1980, with Norman Lloyd), Coast to Coast (1980, with William Lucking and Karen Montgomery), Any Which Way You Can (1980, with Michael Cavanaugh, George Murdock, Logan Ramsey, and Roy Jenson), Silverado (1985), Raw Deal (1986), Stand by Me (1986, with Wil Wheaton and Jerry O'Connell), The Monster Squad (1987, with Stephen Macht and Duncan Ragehr), Blind Date (1987, with John Larroquette and Armin Shimerman), Delirious (1991, with Zach Grenier and Charles Rocket), Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), and The Hunted (1997).

Durock was remembered in the "In Memoriam" section at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on 23 January 2010.
