Douglas Knapp (5 August 1949 – 3 February 2020; age 70), also credited as Douglas H. Knapp or simply Doug Knapp, was a director of photography and camera operator on Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise. He also worked on the filmed footage for Star Trek: Borg. Before working on Star Trek, he worked on various other films, including Dark Star (1974) and Assault on Precinct 13 (1976). He also worked with Tim Burton on Frankenweenie (1984) and Beetlejuice (1988).
On 4 February, 2020, Michael Okuda informed his Twitter audience that his friend Douglas Knapp had passed away the previous day after a long battle with cancer. [1]
