In a holodeck recreation of World War II set in 1944, a British radio station reported the weather in Dover to be 59 °F and low fog across the English Channel. The weather report contained an encrypted message for some French Resistance fighters in Sainte Claire from Allied High Command. (VOY: "The Killing Game")
According to his biography on the Star Trek movie app, "John Harrison" was born in Dover, in 2228.
Dover was also the main destination in the Dunkirk evacuation.
