The Drookmani ship was a type of starship used by Drookmani scavengers for their salvage operations during the late 24th century.
History[]
In 2380, a Drookmani ship was engaged in a heated dispute over abandoned Starfleet cargo with the USS Cerritos. Captain Carol Freeman insisted on a diplomatic solution rather than firing on the Drookmani, who used their tractor beam to launch debris at the Cerritos. The conflict ended incidentally when an animate isolinear core ejected from the Cerritos disabled the Drookmani ship. (LD: "Terminal Provocations")
Later that year, a Drookmani ship arrived to salvage the debris field left from the Battle of Kalla.
In 2381, the exocomp Peanut Hamper secretly invited a Drookmani ship to Areolus to take the native Areore's ancient ships from beneath the surface, as part of a scheme to redeem herself to Starfleet by saving the Areore from the Drookmani. Peanut Hamper infiltrated the Drookmani ship and overloaded their engines, destroying it, though the Drookmani crew were able to beam to a nearby Areore ship. Technical data[]
The Drookmani ship consisted of a series of cargo modules attached to a crewed forward command section or tug. The command section could detach and operate independently, and contained a shuttlecraft in a ventral bay. The ship was unarmed but was equipped with two powerful tractor beams, one on the bow and one beneath the cargo modules, which pulled materials directly into a shredder. It had a crew complement of at least six. (LD: "Terminal Provocations", "A Mathematically Perfect Redemption")
