The Duras sisters' Bird-of-Prey was a D12-class Klingon Bird-of-Prey operated by the House of Duras. It was destroyed in 2371 just after inflicting critical damage to the USS Enterprise-D in the Battle of Veridian III. (Star Trek Generations)

This Bird-of-Prey was commissioned in 2351. (Star Trek Generations)

In 2369, Lursa and B'Etor used the starship to provide Tahna Los with bilitrium. (DS9: "Past Prologue")

In 2370, Lursa and B'Etor used the Bird-of-Prey during their plot to steal magnesite in the Kalla system. (TNG: "Firstborn")

While in orbit of Veridian III, Lursa and B'Etor staged a bold attack on the Enterprise-D in 2371. The Duras sisters had a considerable tactical advantage in knowing the Enterprise's shield frequency, meaning that the Bird-of-Prey was able to render the Enterprise's shields completely ineffective, allowing the Bird-of-Prey to score direct hits. The Bird-of-Prey was destroyed when the crew of the Enterprise exploited a design flaw in the D12-class' plasma coils to force it to cloak and lower its shields in the process. Unfortunately, this proved to be a Pyrrhic victory, as the Bird-of-Prey was able to inflict critical damage to the Enterprise-D before being destroyed, resulting in a warp core breach and the destruction of the Enterprise. Background information

It is unknown if the ship seen in the episodes and the movie was the same Bird-of-Prey. Although differences in appearance of the ship's bridge – when comparing TNG: "Firstborn" with Star Trek Generations – suggest that the ship is actually two different vessels, it is also possible that the bridge underwent a radical redesign, as is implied as happening with the HMS Bounty between Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Without direct evidence to confirm either possibility, this article assumes that it was the same starship.
