EPS power flow, or EPS flow, was the flow of power in the electro-plasma system.
In 2369, after it was learned that Odo and Lwaxana Troi were trapped in a turbolift, there was a diagnosis of the turbolift power net and the transporter was checked, too. Though both systems were operational, they were not receiving the power needed for their functions. So, Chief of Operations Miles O'Brien was attempting a reroute of the EPS power flow to these systems. He expressed his lack of confidence in the station's computer, stating that if he was aboard a Federation starship, he could complete the rerouting in two hours. Later, to the surprise of O'Brien, the EPS power flow was rerouted in less than an hour. However, the turbolift circuits were not activated, a condition to which O'Brien had no explanation for. In 2370, Data assisted Chief Engineer Geordi La Forge in his friendly power conversion efficiency contest with Donald Kaplan of the USS Intrepid. He requested from Data that he keep the flow consistent while he remodulated the power taps. Data noted that this procedure would only increase the conversion level by .8%. This procedure raised the power conversion levels to 97.2%, beating the 97.1% set by the Intrepid. (TNG: "Force of Nature")
